Quick and easy to use tow bar mounted bike carrier (for two bikes)

The Thule 970 Xpress tow ball bike carrier fits directly upon the tow ball. It is ideal for keeping in the boot ready to use for short trips or transporting bikes to and from school etc. Due to its slim-line lightweight design, it can be fitted and taken off in a jiffy.

The 970 Xpress carries up to two bikes and is supplied pre-assembled ready to use. Thule accessories 976 light board and 9761 light board adapter are available. The Thule HangOn is a budget priced, easy to use tow ball mounted bike carrier. Carries up to 3 cycles. The tilt action allows the carrier to be easily lowered for access to the car boot - even with the bikes in place! For ladies cycles as well as cycle frames without top rails, an adapter 982 is available.

The Thule 9708 HangOn is a budget priced, easy to use 4-bike tow ball mounted bike carrier. It carries up to 4 cycles with ease. The tilt function action allows the carrier to be easily lowered for access to the car boot - even with the bikes in place! To cater for ladies and children's bikes as well as other bikes without top cross rails, an accessory adapter 982 false cross bar is available. Features for the 9708 HangOn include a strong coupling that doesn't require pre-adjustment for fixing. The whole 9708 HangOn unit folds flat for easy storage.

Soft straps are included to keep the bikes firmly in place and like the top of the range VeloCompact and EuroRide models, the Thule RideOn 9502 comes complete with a fitted light board (7 pin plug). This smart bike carrier is a pleasure to use and takes up to 2 bikes. It's easy to lift it onto the tow ball and then push down the single lever to lock it into place. Minimal adjustment may be required first time out to get a firm grip on the tow ball.

Tilting is an easy one person operation using a foot pedal positioned at the front of the carrier.

The VeloCompact should fit all tow balls. To fit this carrier you need a clear 65mm between the centre of the tow ball and the bumper. Please check this measurement before ordering.

It makes sense when using this carrier to place a safety strap around all the bikes and the bike holder support frame. Why? The bike holders sometimes only grip around the top (or bottom) and sides of the bike frame, especially on irregular shaped frames, so there's the potential for the bike holder to jump off or fall off the frame, e.g when travelling over bumpy roads or speed bumps.
